Washington, D.C.
From the Washington, D.C. area the drive is less than three hours. From the I 495 beltway pick up I 270 North toward Rockville/ Frederick, MD. From Frederick exit onto I 70 West toward Hancock, MD. Then look for a left exit for I 68 West to Cumberland, MD. Stay on I 68 through Cumberland and look for Exit 14A - Rt. 219 South. Follow Rt. 219 for about 16 miles through the town of McHenry. We will be five miles further on the left.

Baltimore, MD
From the Baltimore area the drive is less than three hours. From the I 695 beltway pick up I 70 West toward Frederick/ Hancock, MD. Stay on I 70 through Frederick onto Hancock, MD. Then look for a left exit for I 68 West to Cumberland, MD. Stay on I 68 through Cumberland and look for Exit 14A- RT. 219 South. Follow Rt. 219 for about 16 miles through the town of McHenry. We will be five miles further on the left.

Pittsburgh, PA via Morgantown, WV
From the Pittsburgh area the drive is approximately two hours. If you choose to come via Morgantown begin by picking up I79 South to I 68. Next, pick up I 68 East toward Cumberland, MD. Look for Exit 4 at Friendsville, MD. Follow Rt. 42 South until you reach its end at Rt. 219 South. Follow Rt. 219 South through the town of McHenry. We will be five miles further on the left.

Pittsburgh, PA via Uniontown, PA
From the Pittsburgh area the drive is approximately two hours. If you choose to come via Uniontown begin by picking up Rt. 51 South to Uniontown, PA. Next, pick up Rt. 40 East until you reach Rt. 219 South. Follow Rt. 219 for about 16 miles through the town of McHenry. We will be five miles further on the left.

Points Westward
Perhaps your travels begin west of Morgantown, WV and you have found a route to Morgantown. If so, simply pick up I 68 East in Morgantown, WV toward Cumberland, MD. Look for Exit 4 at Friendsville, MD. Follow Rt. 42 South until you reach its end at Rt. 219 South. Follow Rt. 219 for about 16 miles through the town of McHenry. We will be five miles further on the left.

Points from the South
If your travels begin from the south(i.e. Richmond, VA). There are two ways to approach your travel.

  • If your are closest to I 81 then follow it North to Hancock. Then follow the directions from either Washington, D.C. or Baltimore, MD picking up from the Hancock area. Your drive time will be less than two hours from Hancock, MD.

  • If you are closest to I 95 then follow it North to Washington, D.C. Pick up I 495 West toward Northern Virginia following the directions from the Washington, D.C.
